- They are currently seeking individuals ages 18+ in New York City to participate in a new study about personal tax preparation and secret shopping.
- This study will have 2 modalities in which you will file your taxes while providing valuable insights as a secret shopper:
- Option 1:
— This will be a mobile mission that pays $350.
— The time commitment for the mobile mission is undisclosed, but it’s likely to be 3.5 hours. - — In addition, you will be asked to file your taxes as a secret shopper and earn an additional $250.
— The time commitment for the tax filing is undisclosed, but it’s likely to be 2.5 hours. - Option 2:
— This will be an in-person study that pays $500.
— The time commitment for the in-person study is undisclosed but it’s likely to be 5 hours.
— In addition, you will be asked to file your taxes as a secret shopper and earn an additional $250.
— The time commitment for the tax filing is undisclosed, but it’s likely to be 2.5 hours. - A select few participants may also be invited for a 75-minute follow-up virtual interview to earn an additional $150.
- This study will take place in a local tax store in New York City between February 6th and March 23rd, 2026.
