  • [members only content] is a leading global research firm (founded in 1980) that now has 15 focus group and product testing facilities across the U.S.
  • They are currently seeking adults nationwide ages 22+ to participate in a new study about Cardiovascular Health.
  • This study is being run by Exponent, a US-based scientific research and development company, on behalf of a consumer technology company.
  • The purpose of the study is to collect health and physiological data to help with the development and improvement of health products.
  • This will be a multi-phase study.
  • Phase 1:
    — This will be a 2-2.5 hour virtual screening session to understand your current health condition and medical history.
    — If the screening confirms your likely eligibility for the study, you may continue the virtual enrollment and training portion of the session if you are interested.
    — If you do not qualify after the intake screening, you will be compensated for your time.
  • Phase 2:
    — This will be a 30-45 day at-home data collection phase where you will wear two smartwatches (one on each wrist) for at least 12 hours each day.
    — You will need to complete a set of tasks each morning and evening, roughly 10 minutes each.
    — In addition, you will need to complete 1-2 optional fasting blood tests.
    — Depending on the cohort you are assigned to, you may be able to choose whether or not to complete the fasting blood tests.
  • Phase 3:
    — This will be a virtual exit session that will last up to 15 minutes.
  • All invited respondents will receive between $100 and $775, depending on the number of phases you participate in.
  • To see if you may be eligible for the study, the research firm will need to ask you a few personal health questions.
  • You don’t have to answer any question you don’t want to answer.
  • Your answers will be recorded, but your information will only be used for the purposes of this study.
  • The purpose of these questions is to help ensure the recruitment of a representative sample of people to enroll in the research study.
